STRONGnet Summer School 2011

ZIF, Bielefeld

June 14-25, 2011

The first STRONGnet Summer School will be held at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research (ZiF) in Bielefeld, Germany, from June 14 to 25, 2011.

The courses will provide training on many aspects of lattice field theories including also non-standard applications such as quantum gravity. Other subjects will include information technology, computer science and statistics . Data analysis techniques used in astrophysics and biophysics will be covered, as well as the overlap of lattice methods with random matrix theory and econophysics.

In keeping with STRONGnet's foundation as a Marie Curie Training Network the school is aiming especially at early career researchers but the program may also be useful for beginning postdocs.

We emphasize that participation in the STRONGnet Summer School is open to all in the lattice QCD community, regardless of whether or not they are affiliated with the STRONGnet consortium.
